"Not only has he the task of buying print for Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace but he has a role in educating other buyers. Shorto's CV makes him ideal for this role." PrintWeek 2007
Hand in hand with the rise of environmental issues on the agenda of the paper and printing industries has come the misinformation and Greenwash. Print buyers and designers are bombarded with claims that a certain process, product or company is the best environmental option and need the knowledge and skills to evaluate these claims.
If you want to introduce and maintain a strict Environmental Policy, you need to do the research yourself. Printing companies are not expert in environmental issues and any advice offered will be biased towards their capabilities and supplier relationships.
I am offering informal, one-to-one, training to give print buyers and designers the knowledge to evaluate environmental claims.
Training
can take place at your office but my preference is to choose a geographically appropriate accredited printing company and include a factory tour as part of the training.
